Bexar County Veterans Service Organization
The Bexar County Veterans Service Office (VSO) is an advocate agency established to assist veterans or their survivors in obtaining benefits from the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Texas Veterans Commisssion. The VSO cooperates with local government agencies as well as non-governmental service agencies to assist clients in obtaining needed specialized services.
A variety of employment, job training and related services are available to veterans. These are the same services that are available to all customers including veterans, except that veterans are given priority of service.
Texas Veterans Commission
The Texas Veterans Commission was created in 1927 as the State Service Office to assist veterans of the Indian wars, Spanish-American War and World War I. Our purpose has always been to act as the state appointed advocate of Texas veterans as they attempt to secure the benefits rightfully earned in exchange for their service in our nation's armed forces.

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families in affording decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
